BC has many organized recreational bike rides, both road and gravel. Most of these are single day events that offer a few length options; a few of them are over multiple days. Many of them are fundraisers.
Events can serve as a goal for getting into bike riding shape for the season, a chance to explore a new part of the province, or a fun highlight to build a tour around.
